Wildlife and Fire Workshop Series

The SW Fire Science Consortium, AZ Wildfire Initiative, and many other partners hosted a yearlong series of workshops, webinars, and reports to improve wildlife outcomes in the face of fire and climate change. This series is intended to help researchers and practitioners across disciplines to exchange ideas, tools, and lessons to address the rapid pace and scale of fire management.

This virtual kickoff workshop on January 23rd and 24th, 2024 began with an overview of the effort, a panel discussion, and breakout report out on Day 1. Day 2 included two breakout report outs and an interactive exercise to identify possible topics and speakers for the webinar series highlighted below.
